Persona 3 Reload Director Talks Nintendo Switch 2 Port Origin

As the Nintendo Switch 2 continues its lifecycle, more 3rd parties will soon join the growing ranks of developers who have brought titles to the system. One such team is Atlus, which is prepping for the port release of Persona 3 Reload on October 23rd. I actually reviewed the game for The Outerhaven when it arrived on PC, and it was an incredible title. So, you’d expect the Switch 2 to be of matching quality, and we’ll see if it lives up to that expectation. One thing you might not expect, though, is how the port came to be made.

In a chat with Ungeek, Persona 3 Reload Director Yoshihiro Komori revealed that they didn’t have key details about the system or its release before they started working on the game:

Atlus and Nintendo have a good history together, so both sides will want this port to do well, not unlike how Persona 5 Royal did well on the OG Switch when it was ported to the beloved console a few years back. Plus, if it does do well, it could be an indicator of not only the Switch 2 getting Persona 4 Revival, but also Persona 6....
