Another report testifying to the existence of a new PlayStation 5 Pro model has surfaced online. The same source also claims that Sony is working on the DualSense V3 controller that will introduce a big improvement on the battery front.

The PS5 Pro launched in early November 2024, priced at $699. It's retailing at $749.99 since August 2025. In late September, reliable insider Billbil-kun reported that Sony was working on refreshing its mid-gen hardware refresh with a new variant, identified by model number CFI-7121.​​​​​

Adding to the original rumor, a recent report from Polish outlet PPE claims that a new PS5 Pro model is indeed in the works, while also stating that Sony is preparing a DualSense refresh to accompany it. While the yet-to-be-announced console is described as a minor revision, the new controller will supposedly offer a more substantial upgrade compared to its immediate predecessor, with PPE claiming it will incorporate a removable battery—a first for first-party PlayStation gamepads.
