Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth director Naoki Hamaguchi has revealed that the team has been listening to “a lot of feedback” from fans, and that the final entry in the popular trilogy will be better because of it. Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth was considered one of the best games of 2024, but some fans complained about parts of its design, and hopefully, this feedback will help Square Enix make an even better game in the future.

Released in 1997, Final Fantasy 7 is often considered one of the best Japanese RPGs of the 90s due to its stellar storytelling and iconic moments and characters. Fans were surprised when Final Fantasy 7 Remake was announced, and the second entry in the trilogy also proved to be a huge success. However, while Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth holds an incredible average critic score of 92 on OpenCritic, some long-time fans of the franchise have criticized the game for its oversized open world, which detracts from the main experience.
