Spoiler alert. Those are the first two words you've encountered in this article's text because this pertains directly to the final sequence of events in Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles' ending. Thus, it spoils the original ending, as well; the version seen in the PlayStation release as well as The War of the Lions, the PSP (and eventually iOS/Android) remaster.

For 28 years, FFT's ending was set in stone. In 2025, it has been altered. In some ways, just a bit. But there are grander implications at play. Hints of more, perhaps. Even if that wasn't the writers' intention, it tackles something head-on that had previously been left open-ended. Seriously, spoilers. You've been warned.
