We've seen the Marvel license used for many games over the years, but it's been about thirty years since we've seen it used for a traditional beat-em-up. The last Marvel-licensed one was The Punisher in arcades and later on the Genesis and before that, there was Sega's Spider-Man (which was kind of a forgotten gem of its time), and of course, the legendary X-Men Arcade Game that got a limited-time re-release about 15 years ago on Xbox 360, PS3's PSN and Android platforms. Now, Tribute Games is following up the beloved TMNT: Shredder's Revenge with a game that brings the Marvel universe together in Marvel Cosmic Invasion.
MCI launches later this year, but the demo showcases a lot of the core gameplay and in-game banter that should make for a fun full release too.
