Rumors of a possible current-gen version of Kingdom Come: Deliverance continue to mount, as an insider who correctly leaked Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's delay back in 2024 has now claimed that a big update for the title will arrive early next year. This isn't the first time fans of the original Kingdom Come: Deliverance have heard rumblings about a native PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S version, and it now seems as though a potential release could be just a few months away.
While the original Kingdom Come: Deliverance is held in high regard by RPG fans, its sequel improved on its predecessor in almost every way. Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 received rave reviews from players and critics, and has likely cemented itself as a strong Game of the Year contender. Fans praised Warhorse for refining the series' combat system, creating a larger and more immersive open world, and for its incredible realism. The sequel has some tough competition, though, with the likes of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Blue Prince, Hollow Knight: Silksong, and more all being worthy of the coveted award.
