Stray Children Wandering Towards Worldwide Release With New Launch Trailer

Stray Children Wandering Towards Worldwide Release With New Launch Trailer

From Hardcore Gamer (Written by James Cunningham) on | OpenCritic

A long time ago when gaming was very different, it was common for a title to release in Japan long before the US ever got word of it while Europe would have to wait even longer. While not entirely unheard of today it's much rarer for this to happen, but localization is a beast and sometimes the resources are better spent completing the game and worrying about other details later. Onion Games' Stray Children came out in Japan last December with the promise of a worldwide release following along eventually, and today it's been announced the date is coming right up on October 30 for PC and Switch.

The Latest In an Ongoing Legacy of Heartfelt Strangeness

Stray Children is the latest RPG from the creators of Moon, Dandy Dungeon, Little King's Story, Chulip, etc. It's a studio whose output is as eclectic as it is heartfelt, influential even if they don't crack the sales charts wide open. Releasing on the same day as Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D may not help break this streak, but for RPG fans who value something new over (very pretty) reruns Stray Children is one to get excited about.
