A new update has been dropped for the Xbox Series X/S version of Overwatch.

A new patch has been released for the Xbox Series X/S version of Overwatch, allowing players to enhance the game's visuals (via Polygon). There will be three options that players will be able to choose from. The first is "resolution" mode, which makes high-resolution a priority. In this mode, the game will run at 4K and 60 fps on the Series X, and 1440p and 60 fps on the Series S. There is a "balanced" mode, which lets players keep a higher-fidelity image by sacrificing some resolution. In this mode, the Series X will portray the game at 1440p, while the Series S will display the game at 1080p. Finally, there is "framerate" mode. This mode prioritizes getting the game up to 120 fps, all while keeping the same resolution as "balanced" mode. However, the mode will have lower image quality in order to maintain 120 fps.

In order to choose any of these three modes, players will have to go into the graphics options. They then select the "Preferred Mode" setting, and then choose which one of the three modes that they would like to have active.

Overwatch is currently in the midst of its PachiMarchi Challenge event. The event will last until March 22nd. During this time, players will be able to earn Pachimari themed items by getting a certain number of wins during the event. These include an icon, an emote, and a special skin for Roadhog. During the event, players can earn six unique sprays by logging into the game. These sprays are Pachimari versions of some of the game's Heroes, including Junkrat, Doomfist, and more.

Overwatch is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and the Nintendo Switch.
