Pokemon Legends: Z-A Fans Think Naveen Is Better Than The Discourse Would Have Us Believe

Is Naveen so bad? Some would quickly concur. Others are beginning to wonder whether the perceived hatred is overblown. Or even downright misplaced. Pokemon Legends: Z-A's generally good cast might have an uncommon dud with this lad, or perhaps there's more than meets the eye. Maybe, some opine, it's just not an archetype that all of us can identify with.

Now, that I can certainly get behind, because I'll be the first to admit that Naveen's archetype does absolutely nothing for me. More on that in a bit. Just the same, though, the Pokemon fandom is in the middle of a quick partial reassessment just a few days into Z-A's launch, after a wave of negativity initially cast Team MZ's most socially withdrawn member as the worst fellow roaming Lumiose.

Before we dive into the above Reddit thread, here's an example of a well-written stance from the opposite angle: this Reddit thread. The OP does a good job demonstrating what doesn't work for them, and points out rather damningly that Naveen is the only Pokemon character they've ever outright disliked.
