What if I told you I did not tackle my first Divine Beast in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild until roughly 50 hours into the game? You might scoff. On the other hand, you might just knowingly nod your head. With several hundred hours under my belt for both Breath of the Wild and its illustrious sequel, that's probably my biggest "wow, that took me forever" moment, but plenty of fans clearly have me beat.

A current Reddit discussion is filled with folks who took ages to achieve certain milestones, or even to unlock basic features. Chatter centers chiefly upon Tears of the Kingdom, but there's some BOTW representation, as well. Suffice it to say, such conversations are a pristine example of just how big the Nintendo Switch era's Hyrule can be.
