Sega Asks Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Players What Crossover DLC Characters They Want

With Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds' growing popularity, Sega is asking fans to help shape the game's future by sharing which characters they'd like to see in upcoming DLCs. Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds already has a full year of premium downloadable content planned, with free guest racers scheduled to be added regularly as well.

Recently, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds released the Minecraft Pack, featuring iconic characters from the franchise along with themed vehicles and gadgets. The game is also set to get its second major free update, adding Joker from the Persona series to the roster on October 22. However, it seems Sega has even bigger plans for the future, as the company is giving fans a chance to suggest how the game should expand.

In a conversation with Polygon's Paulo Kawanishi, series producer Takashi Iizuka discussed the future of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds DLCs. "We have one year of DLC," he said, adding that "We could do year two, we could do year three of DLC." Iizuka then urged fans to share what they want to see next, noting that since CrossWorlds is an online game, the team has plenty of room to expand its content.
