Emiru is Pressing Charges After TwitchCon Attack

Twitch content creator Emiru confirmed in a recent livestream that she has filed a police report and is pressing charges against the man who publicly assaulted her at TwitchCon 2025 in San Diego during a meet-and-greet session. Following the assault, Emiru stated she is urging other Twitch partners and content creators to consider avoiding any TwitchCon events.

The incident occurred at the San Diego Convention Center on the first day of TwitchCon 2025, October 17. According to videos from TwitchCon attendees that surfaced on social media, the assailant crossed multiple barriers to grab Emiru during a meet-and-greet at the convention. The man, whose identity is currently unknown at the time of writing, was subsequently banned from Twitch and TwitchCon after Emiru's management prompted the Amazon-owned service to take action hours later. Twitch issued a statement hours after the incident involving Emiru and said it was working with law enforcement in the ongoing case.
