This news comes just weeks after Remedy Entertainment announced to investors that sales for its most recent game, multiplayer title FBC: Firebreak, are struggling to hit the studio's internal targets.

Tero Virtala has been with Remedy since 2016, making him present for some of the studio's most notable years. Remedy has gained a reputation for being one of the most unique developers in the industry. Between mind-bending stories like the Alan Wake series and Control, Remedy has begun to grow an extended universe through its games, and FBC: Firebreak is another branch of that growing narrative. Set in the Control universe, FBC: Firebreak was the studio's first multiplayer project, but even after a recent major update, the multiplayer title still maintains a low player count.
