We now know when we will be able to play as Tekken 7's latest fighter.
It has been announced that Tekken 7's next playable character will release this week. Lidia Sobieska, fictional prime minister of Poland, will release on March 23rd. Lidia will utilize karate, and will be a new character in the series. She will be a part of the game's Season 4 pass, following Kunimitsu. Lidia will come with a new stage, entitled Island Paradise. A new trailer was released for her (seen here), showing off her skills and the game's new stage.
"Lidia has always been an upright and resolute woman," Lidia's official bio reads (via GameSpot). "She believes that justice requires absolute power, which is why she has shown great interest in karate from a very young age. The loss of her father stoked interest in the family tradition of politics. Lidia showed great quality in both areas, entering and winning her first karate world championship at 18, and more recently being one of the youngest rising stars in the Polish political arena. The war started by the Mishima Zaibatsu is greatly affecting Poland and she is committed to settle the situation with her own fists."
Season 4 of Tekken 7 started late last year. The first character released for the Season was the kunoichi Kunimitsu, the daughter of the original Kunimitsu from earlier games in the series. A new stage, entitled Vermillion Gates, was released alongside Kunimistu as well. Season 4 also featured an update made some changes to the game. This included new moves for every character, as well as user interface enhancements and online play adjustments. A new feature called Tekken Prowess was also added, which tracks a player's rank and status. There was also a rank system overhaul that added a new title called Tekken God Omega. The Season 4 pass costs $15, though individual characters can be purchased for $6.
Tekken 7 is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
