Pokémon GO's April Community Day Has Been Detailed

We now know the details for Pokémon GO's April Community Day.

On the Pokémon GO blog, information for April's Community Day was given. It was announced that the featured Pokémon next month during the event will be the Grass-type Snivy. The event takes place on Sunday, April 11th. It will run from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. During this time, Snivy will appear in the wild more frequently, with there being a chance of encountering a Shiny one. Evolving a Servine (the evolution of Snivy) during the event or up to two hours after will grant players with a Serperior that knows the attack Frenzy Plant. 

During the April Community Day, players will be able to access the Community Day exclusive Special Research story, Snivy in the Sunshine, for $1. They will also be able to purchase a special one-time Community Day Box that will be available for 1,280 PokeCoins. The box will contain 50 Ultra Balls, four Star Pieces, four Mossy Lure Modules, and an Elite Charged TM. Players can also take snapshots during Community Day for a surprise. During the Community Day next month, players will be able to enjoy 3x the Catch Stardust. Any Incense activated during the event will last for three hours. 

Pokemon GO developer Niantic also announced that this weekend will be a Special Raid Weekend that will feature Rayquaza. The event will start on March 27th at 10:00 a.m., and will run through March 28th at 8:00 p.m. local time. During this time, Rayquaza will appear in five-star raids alongside Therian Forme Thundurus. Any Rayquaza that is cuaght during this period will know the attack Hurricane.
