The Outer Worlds 2 has finally been released, and it has been well-received by critics so far, very much like the first installment in the series. Obsidian Entertainment’s RPG is a sequel to the 2019 game, but brings forth a series of improvements. In Screen Rant’s review of The Outer Worlds 2, we give it a 9/10 score, praising its rich world and improved gameplay when compared to the first title.
Now, the review scores for the game have been revealed, and they compare positively with the original entry. At the time of writing, on Metacritic, both the original The Outer Worlds and The Outer Worlds 2 have the exact same 85 Metascore. On Opencritic, however, there is a slight difference. 89% of critics recommend The Outer Worlds 2 on OpenCritic, compared to 83% of critics recommending the original title on OpenCritic.
Even though The Outer Worlds 2’s scores are not necessarily better than the original title’s, it’s great to see that they aren’t worse than the first game.
