If you like indie games, hopefully you caught today's ID@Xbox Showcase, which announced dozens of new Xbox indies coming soon, including 20 new games launching on Game Pass on day one. The lists of games both for Xbox in general and Game Pass launch games are full of both games you may have been tracking already and games never before seen, with perhaps some you missed before.
Some highlights include Second Extinction, the PC Early Access dinosaur co-op shooter. The game is also coming to Xbox as a console exclusive at launch, and will hit Game Preview and Game Pass on April 28. Hello Neighbor 2 is the sequel to the YouTube sensation and an unnerving stealth game about discovering the (possibly literal) skeletons in your neighbor's closet. No release date has yet been revealed, but it's worth noting other games sometimes gave vague "2021" windows and Hello Neighbor 2 didn't, so it may not be this year we see it arrive on Xbox.
Moonglow Bay got an early deep dive on the show. It's a voxel-art fishing and life sim with over 100 kinds of fish to catch, on top of a central mystery the devs were careful not to spoil. Nobody Saves The World is the next game from Drinkbox Studios, the team behind beloved Metroidvania Guacamelee. Players can mix and match abilities as they transform between things such as a rat, horse, ranger, and more. Stalker 2 is a once-thought-dead sequel to the beloved horror-shooter on PC. It's coming only to new-gen platforms only - sorry Xbox One players - but it'll be in Game Pass at launch.
