If you’ve listened to the Nintendo Entertainment Podcast recently, you’ll know that my cohosts and I full-on blasted the Xbox brand for certain things that they’ve done, including whatever the heck the ROG Ally Xbox S thing is. The Microsoft-fueled gaming brand has been struggling for a while, and everyone knows it…but the company itself won’t admit it out loud. Yet, we’re seeing all sorts of things from the Xbox line that show that they’re slowly burning out, including going multiplatform with numerous exclusives, including putting them on the Nintendo Switch 2, which Phil Spencer says will continue in the future.
In an interview with Famitsu, Phil Spencer was straight up asked by the magazine if Microsoft/Xbox would be “focusing” on the Switch 2 since it’s now out, and here’s what he had to say on the matter:
