PS Plus Adding a Classic PS2-Era Fighting Game

PlayStation Plus is adding Soulcalibur 3 to its list of available PlayStation Plus Classics before the end of 2025, according to information released by Bandai Namco Entertainment. Only one title seems to have been confirmed so far for November's list of new PlayStaytion Plus games, but Soulcalibur 3 should arrive by the end of December at the latest.

As Namco's follow-up to 1996's Soul Edge, the first Soulcalibur became one of the most successful arcade games of 1998, presenting players with a unique 3D fighting game in which characters wield a variety of melee weapons instead of leading with punches and kicks. After Soulcalibur was ported to Sega Dreamcast in 1999, its popularity only increased, and it holds a position of honor as the second-highest-selling game in the console's short lifespan, just behind Sonic Adventure.

As announced by Bandai Namco via an X post, Soulcalibur 3 will be joining the PlayStation Plus Classics Catalog before the end of 2025.
