Metaphor: ReFantazio didn't turn one year old today, but it did happen quite recently. Atlus' bold vision for a fantasy-themed JRPG that's got heaps of Persona in its DNA but just as often does its own thing released on October 12, 2024. As is all quite customary with video game anniversaries, players have taken the time these past couple of weeks to look back on that most royal of adventures.

Whether it's the game's considerable list of strengths, or its few key weaknesses, I have given Metaphor: ReFantazio quite a bit of thought as well. Atlus hasn't let the moment go unspoken, either; a new SKU's en route, and the inevitable deluge of merchandise announcements also came to pass. But this article's about the fandom.
