Developer ChillyRoom has recently announced Loulan: The Cursed Sand, an action RPG with strong Diablo vibes, set for release on PC and PlayStation 5. In Loulan: The Cursed Sand, PlayStation 5 and PC gamers will play as a skeletal warrior travelling along the Silk Road in Western China in search of the lost kingdom of Loulan.
Ever since Black Myth: Wukong became a huge global hit, Chinese games have gained popularity in the West. Loulan: The Cursed Sand will be the latest one of these Chinese games to explore the local mythology, inspired by the real-life Loulan mummies. The game will tell the tragic love story of an exiled royal guard who ventures into war to find the princess he loves.
ChillyRoom recently unveiled the first Loulan: The Cursed Sand trailer, which showcases some of the gorgeous landscapes of the game, which include huge deserts, rocky regions, and sprawling ruins. According to the game’s creators, all levels will be handcrafted, and regions will be “atmospheric” and feature diverse environments.
