Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Adds Highly Anticipated Day One RPG

Obsidian Entertainment’s The Outer Worlds 2 has joined the lineup of titles available to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers. The highly anticipated sequel launched on October 29 and became available for Xbox Game Pass members of the highest tier to enjoy from day one.

Reviews have been trickling in for the sequel to 2019’s The Outer Worlds, and critics are overall filled with praise, calling it a “superior sequel” that surpasses its predecessor in many ways. On OpenCritic, the newly released game by Obsidian has an 83 average critic rating, with reviews applauding everything from its RPG mechanics to its engaging characters, sense of adventure, and beautiful settings. Not that fans of the first game needed to read reviews of The Outer Worlds 2 before diving in, but the feedback thus far is encouraging.

Despite a recent price hike to Xbox Game Pass, Microsoft continues to be an enticing value proposition for many gamers, with one key factor being the titles that are added to the service on day one.
