Techland has released the significant 1.3 update for Dying Light: The Beast to round out October 2025. While the list of changes isn't massive in Dying Light: The Beast 1.3, there are still some important changes and additions here.

Dying Light: The Beast was met with solid reviews upon its release last month, receiving praise for being a strong continuation of the areas in which the series thrives. It was perhaps not a massive step forward in terms of reinventing the wheel, but when it comes to being more of what Dying Light fans love, The Beast does that admirably. However, Techland isn't content with its initial reception, and continues to improve the game via new updates.

The latest is the 1.3 update, which has been released right at the end of October 2025. The headline addition is a new surrender mechanic, which allows enemies wielding melee weapons in Dying Light: The Beast to recognize when the player is pointing a firearm in their direction.
