Yellowstone Creator Joins the Call of Duty Movie

It's recently been confirmed that Taylor Sheridan, most widely known for co-creating the critically acclaimed Yellowstone TV series, will be coming aboard Paramount's Call of Duty film adaptation. The Call of Duty movie, which was officially announced earlier this fall, already has some high-profile talent attached, most notably Peter Berg, famous for projects like Friday Night Lights, Deepwater Horizon, and Lone Survivor.

As one might expect, the notion of a Call of Duty movie adaptation has been kicked around for several years now. Before this most recent announcement, the most significant whiff of this big-screen pivot came in 2018, when Activision Blizzard Studios was eying Sicario 2 director Stefano Sollima; unfortunately, it would appear that that version of the movie fell through, paving the way for this Berg and Sheridan team-up.

The Call of Duty film will reportedly be live-action, not animated like some other notable game-based movies.
