Activision has announced the removal of a Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 pre-order bonus due to "changes in content approach" between 2024's entry in the series and the upcoming release. While fans who pre-order Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 before its launch on November 14 will still be able to use the operator skins in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone, they will no longer be equipable in this year's installment, leaving many fans rather disappointed.
Due to the immense amount of backlash received from players, Call of Duty has been making some big changes in preparation for the launch of Black Ops 7 next month. Major adjustments to skill-based matchmaking and overall gameplay have been revealed in recent weeks, but it is the cancellation of Carry Forward and the U-turn on unrealistic cosmetic items that have made waves across the community. In an effort to return the series to its roots, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will be ditching the brand collaborations and unrealistic skins; however, this has resulted in some cosmetics being altered or, in the most recent instance, outright removed.
