Rumor: Halo 2 and 3 Will Get Remakes After Campaign Evolved

The second and third installments in the Halo series could be getting Campaign Evolved-style remakes, according to one leaker. Months of rumors and speculation spoiled the surprise that Combat Evolved would be getting a remake to mark its 25-year anniversary, but now it seems Microsoft isn't stopping there. If this latest leak is correct, the rest of the original Halo trilogy will also get new life in the coming years.

Halo Studios officially unveiled Halo: Campaign Evolved at the 2025 Halo World Championships on October 24, confirming what many had already believed to be true. The first game in the series that largely popularized shooters on consoles is getting a full remake, and it will also come to PS5. After Campaign Evolved releases in 2026, though, there could be more to come.

On October 30, the Halo Leaks Twitter account posted that Halo 2 and Halo 3 would follow in Campaign Evolved's footsteps. Like the CE remake, these games will reportedly launch without PvP multiplayer, only letting fans play through the campaign.
