Capcom held what is likely to be the final showcase for Resident Evil Village before it launches on May 7, but that wasn't the only game shown off at the show. Here's everything Capcom discussed during this week's digital showcase.

First, there was a new trailer for the next mainline entry, Resident Evil Village. The trailer explored more of the setting and characters, including the fan-favorite Lady Dimitrescu and may just be our last look at the series in trailer form until the game arrives in a few weeks.

Of course, if you still crave more of the game for yourself ahead of its May 7 launch, multiple new Resident Evil demos are coming soon to give players a hands-on preview. Players on PS4 and PS5 will get an early look at the Village demo and the Castle demo, each of them taking about 30 minutes to play through. The first demo arrives this weekend, April 17, while the latter demo comes one week later on April 24. Mind you, these are the dates for PlayStation players.

Those looking to play the demos on other platforms can access either or both of them on May 1, across Xbox, Stadia, and PC. These demos will actually be longer, with an hour timer for players to wind down, and PlayStation players can return to these and play them again for the full hour each.

Mercenaries mode, last seen in Resident Evil 6, will also be returning and this time in first-person as a peripheral mode to the main Resident Evil Village story. If multiplayer isn't your thing, perhaps VR is. Resident Evil 4 has found yet another new platform to land on in the Oculus Quest 2. The classic game has been reimagined as a first-person shooter. Note that this is not the same project as the worst-kept-secret remake of Resident Evil 4 apparently still in production.

The Resident Evil computer-generated movie, Infinite Darkness comes to Netflix in a few months. We also learned it will tell a story that takes place after Resident Evil 4 in the story's timeline.

Lastly, if you need even more Resident Evil, some of the game's signature characters are coming to Dead By Daylight. Merely a tease of this crossover was shown for now, with the full details to be shared on May 25 when the Dead By Daylight team hosts its own show.

Resident Evil Village arrives on May 7 for Xbox, PlayStation, PC, and Stadia.
