Nintendo has released its financial statement for the second quarter of the 2025-26 fiscal year (as well as the first half of the year as a whole), and it looks like Switch 2 games like Mario Kart World are selling pretty well.
As part of its fiscal results, Nintendo has revealed sales numbers for games released within the last few months, and Mario Kart World is currently sitting pretty at 9.57 million sales. Given that the Switch 2 itself has sold just over 10 million units to date, that's a pretty high adoption rate for the racer.
3D platformer Donkey Kong Bananza, meanwhile, has racked up 3.49 million sales for itself, and given that Donkey Kong is perhaps not quite as powerful an IP as Mario when it comes to moving units (although there's a developer in common in this case), that's not bad at all.
Of course, in the same period, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe still managed to rack up 1.37 million sales, and Super Mario Party Jamboree wasn't far behind, likely boosted by the Switch 2 Edition that launched back in July.
This quarter saw Nintendo's sales and operating profit leap when compared to the same...
