Bungie gives Destiny 2 fans their first look at the new exotic weapons and armor coming in the Renegades expansion. As expected, most of the Destiny 2 gear on display is Bungie's take on classic Star Wars weapons.
It's well known that Destiny 2 isn't doing so well at the moment, with the game's Steam numbers decreasing to dangerous levels for a live service title. Even longtime community members like Datto and Gladd have even stepped away, opting to take a break from the game. However, there remains hope that the Renegades expansion, due out in December, can rekindle the excitement that has seemingly been lost with players.
Narrated by the NPC Spider, the Destiny 2 Renegades trailer kicks off its reveals with new Star Wars-inspired weapons players will be able to obtain. Uncivil Discourse is clearly inspired by Han Solo's DL-44 pistol, while the A499 heavy sniper rifle looks a lot like The Mandalorian's Amban rifle. In addition, Bungie showed the Modified B-7 Pistol, All or Nothing Pulse Rifle, Compact Defender sidearm and the M-17 Fast Talker SMG.
