Haluk Mentes, General Manager of Marvel Games, has suggested that Insomniac Games will continue to develop additional superhero titles following the launch of Marvel's Wolverine. Although Marvel works with numerous other developers to create video games based on some of its most iconic characters, Insomniac has become a staple in the superhero genre thanks to its work on the Marvel's Spider-Man series and the upcoming Marvel's Wolverine. So it likely won't come as a surprise that Marvel intends to work with the studio for "many years to come."
Initially, Insomniac was best known for its work on the Ratchet & Clank and Spyro the Dragon series, and although the former of the two received a new mainline entry back in 2021, the studio has recently become the go-to developer for new Marvel games. It all started in 2018 with Marvel's Spider-Man, followed by a spin-off based on Miles Morales in 2020, and then a fully-fledged sequel in 2023. Now, the studio is gearing up to take on a new character, as Marvel's Wolverine finally has a 2026 release window after being first revealed all the way back in 2021.
Insomniac isn't the only studio developing Marvel...
