When PlayStation first released the PlayStation Portal, I’ll be honest, I thought it was trash. An overpriced device that required a PlayStation 5 to use, which made it a glorified controller. But nearly two years later after its release, PlayStation has mostly gotten its act together and has made the device something that people who don’t own a PlayStation 5 may want to purchase, with its latest update that now lets you stream PS5 games from the almighty cloud.
Sony has announced one of the biggest updates yet for the PlayStation Portal remote player, expanding how players can experience their favorite PS5 titles anywhere. Starting November 5, PlayStation Plus Premium members will officially gain access to PS5 Cloud Streaming directly on the PlayStation Portal, along with several quality-of-life improvements. This comes a year later that Cloud Streaming had come to the Portal.
