Paradox has officially released its first public update for Europa Universalis 5, which should address more than 350 bugs as the developers seek to provide players with the smoothest gameplay experience possible. Europa Universalis 5 is the latest grand strategy game by Paradox and is a direct follow-up to Europa Universalis 4, which received support from the developer for a full decade after launch.
As a grand strategy game with a strong focus on real-world events, Europa Universalis 5 allows gamers to witness 500 years of history unfold over the course of the game. Shortly after its debut on November 4, Europa Universalis 5 climbed to the top of Steam's sales charts, even overtaking the massively popular extraction shooter Arc Raiders for a brief period of time. As of writing, the game is sitting at an 87 on the review-aggregator site OpenCritic and has a "Very Positive" rating on Steam. With so many people diving into the game, and potentially the series, for the first time, Paradox has been quick to release its first update aimed at addressing bugs and various issues that may negatively impact the experience of its players.
