"No More Delays": Cyberpunk 2077 Reacts To GTA 6 Delay With Old Post

The news of another Grand Theft Auto 6 delay has rocked the entire gaming industry, and an official Cyberpunk 2077 account has taken the opportunity to deliver an ironic reaction. GTA 6's release date has now been pushed from May 2026 to November, following a previous delay from late 2025 to May 2026. Like GTA 6, Cyberpunk 2077 was a hugely anticipated and long-delayed open-world game, but the game still released in an unfinished state, with plenty of bugs and performance issues holding back the experience.

The Cyberpunk 2077 X account responded to Rockstar's news by reposting a Cyberpunk 2077 tweet from October 6, 2020, which declared "No more delays are happening." Three weeks later, developer CDPR delayed the game again, moving it from November 19 to December 10. In re-sharing the post, CDPR appears to be lightly poking fun at the delays for both games and potentially expressing some form of solidarity with Rockstar.

Five years later, it's easy to forget about the details of Cyberpunk 2077's delays, and a lot of comments in response to the repost don't appear to be aware that the statement originally preceded another delay. Even if CDPR hadn't ended...
