Halo Studios has confirmed that the next update coming to Halo Infinite, Operation Infinite, is the last planned content drop as the team moves its focus towards Halo: Campaign Evolved.

When Halo Infinite was properly revealed all the way back in 2020, it was pitched not only as the next big thing for the series, but also as a Halo that would be supported for many years to come. Of course, Infinite didn't end up doing quite as well as Xbox and Halo Studios hoped, but that promise has still been mostly kept in the years since.

Although most Halo fans would agree that Infinite is in a much better state now than it was when it launched in 2021, it still seemed somewhat inevitable that support for the game would eventually stop. Nearly four years after its launch, we finally know for sure that the end is coming with the game's next update.
