There was some suggestion that Diablo 4 could reveal a second expansion in December last month, after a data-mined message in Simplified Chinese suggested something was coming on December 12. Close proximity to The Game Awards on December 11 made this a natural assumption, although it has since been confirmed that this was simply Diablo 4's long-awaited arrival in mainland China.
However, during a recent interview with content creator Rob2628, Associate Game Director Zaven Haroutunian has sparked even more speculation about the possibility of Diablo 4 appearing at The Game Awards this year. When questioned by Rob about whether Diablo fans should take a particular interest in this year's event, Haroutunian notably sat up in his chair and stared directly into the camera, giving a fairly coy response, saying, "Everybody should be watching."
