Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout has been delayed for Switch and Xbox.

Switch and Xbox gamers will have to wait a while longer to play Fall Guys. On the official Fall Guys website, developer Mediatonic announced that the game will no longer be releasing on those systems this summer. The summer release window does not give them the time they need to add a number of new features, leading to the delay. They did not give a release date for the Switch and Xbox versions of Fall Guys. They did state that the delay will allow them to implement features such as crossplay between consoles.

"With so many new opportunities now in our hands, we've realized that our previously announced summer 2021 Switch and Xbox release schedule is unfortunately just too soon for us to include all of the tasty new features we're working on," Mediatonic explained.

"While we want to launch on these platforms as quickly as possible, we believe the Switch and Xbox releases are really going to be worth waiting for and we're super grateful for your patience. This delay gives our team some time to add features like crossplay, so when we add new platforms, players will be able to stumble in harmony with their pals, regardless of their platform of choice."

Mediatonic also announced that there is a wealth of new content coming to Fall Guys. They stated that they will keep rolling out new Seasonal content, including new Shows, Costumes, Rounds, and a number of "delicious" things that players know and love. They also stated that the upcoming Season 4.5 update will include 2 new Rounds and fall themed Costumes. There is currently no date for the Season 4.5 update, though the developer did state that it is "rapidly approaching."

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is available now for PC and PlayStation 4. The game will come the Nintendo Switch and Xbox.
