Nintendo has released the first images of the forthcoming live-action The Legend of Zelda movie, showing stars Bo Bragason and Benjamin Evan Ainsworth in their roles as Zelda and Link, respectively.
The images were revealed by Nintendo legend Shigeru Miyamoto on the official Nintendo X account earlier today. Miyamoto says filming for the movie is taking place in "a lush, natural setting", which feels appropriate for a franchise that often focuses on expansive natural landscapes.
According to Miyamoto, filming is "on track" for the movie's intended May 2027 release date. The project was originally meant to be released in theaters in March that year, but was delayed by a couple of months back in June. This story's main image depicts Bo Bragason as Zelda, but here's Benjamin Evan Ainsworth as Link.
Here's a shot of the two of them together in a vast field. Could it be Hyrule Field? Who knows? Either way, it's a more zoomed-out shot that gives a better impression of what the Zelda movie's costuming will look like.
These are all of the shots we've seen from the Zelda movie so far, and with no trailer on the horizon as yet, that's probably all you're going...
