We now know how Mass Effect Legendary Edition will run on the various platforms it is releasing on.

EA has revealed how Mass Effect Legendary Edition will run on various platforms when it releases next week. PC gamers will be able to play the games at up to 240 fps and refresh rates of up to 240 Hz. Those playing on PC will be able to tweak several graphics options at any time in order to finetune the preferred balance of graphics and performance.

The console versions of Mass Effect Legendary Edition will come with two graphical options: Favor Quality and Favor Framerate. Favor Quality will prioritize achieving the highest visual fidelity possible in exchange for lower framerates. In this mode, the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will run at up to 30 fps at 1080p. The Xbox One, Xbox Series S, and PlayStation 4 Pro will run at up to 30 fps at 4K. The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X will run at up to 60 fps at 4K.

Favor Framerate will prioritize the highest framerate possible by scaling down native resolution and reducing some graphical features. Under this mode, the PlayStation 4 and Xbox one will run at up to 60 fps at 1080p. The PlayStation 4 Pro, PlayStation 5, Xbox One X, and Xbox Series S will all run at up to 60 fps and 1440p resolution when Favor Framerate is selected. Finally, The Xbox Series X will run at up to 120 fps and 1440p resolution in this mode.

EA has also announced that they will be giving away some of the bonus content that came with the Deluxe Editions of Mass Effect 2 and 3 for free. The content can be downloaded here. The free content includes a digital soundtrack, which includes the new Legendary track "Resynthesis," and 2 PDF art books. The free content also includes 2 PDF comic books and a Normandy digital lithograph.

Mass Effect Legendary Edition will release on May 14th. It will release for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
