The Action RPG, Dragon’s Dogma 2, finally broke the 4 million copies barrier two days ago, according to Capcom. The NPC sharing quest to quell dragon Grigori had its’ long-awaited sequel released last year to questionable results.
While the game had a mix of either praise through reviews or disappointment for launch because of technical issues, the news here is surprising. Dragon’s Dogma 2 is still behind its’ predecessor, Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen (PS3, Xbox) with 4.90 million, but surpassing the re-release by a few more units on Capcom’s Platinum titles list by 2 million.
With Dragon’s Dogma 1 and 2‘s producer Hideaki Itsuno departed from Capcom’s team to join Tencent’s Lightspeed, it’s hard to say if or when the DLC will come. Fans seem to clench onto this after the tweet broke out. Itsuno-san himself at first seemed to not be discouraged by Dragon’s Dogma 2‘s results not too long ago via VGC.
