Barring any further delays, it looks like we're now less than one year away from GTA 6's long-awaited launch. A lot could happen between now and November 19, of course, so let's all keep our expectations tempered as best we can.
Even so, it's hard not to let ourselves get a little excited, right? 2026 is the year we finally get GTA 6 (probably), and that's absolutely wild to think about. What's even more wild is the alleged size of the game's map in comparison to GTA 5.
It's worth noting right out of the gate that Rockstar Games has yet to officially show off GTA 6's map. With that said, dedicated fans have been working hard over the last few years to put together a pretty strong picture of what to expect. Using gameplay leaks, trailers, and screenshots, we have a pretty strong idea of the scope and size of Leonida.
Armed with this information, we're looking at a map that could be more than twice the size of GTA 5's Los Santos, which was itself already a pretty damn hefty world.
