Even though Rockstar Games hasn’t announced the official price for Grand Theft Auto 6, there’s already a huge controversy swirling around the idea that it could cost more than your average AAA title, and once again, that has become a huge topic of discussion. Originally planned to release in May 2026, GTA 6 has been delayed to November 2026 to give the team more time to polish it.
Given the anticipated scope of the project, there are rumors that GTA 6 could cost $100, and those rumors have been addressed by Jay Klaitz, the actor behind Lester from GTA 5. In an interview with The Escapist, Klaitz was asked if the upcoming title deserved to be the first $100 game, to which he responded: “Yeah, dude. I mean, GTA V was so heavy on the mocap. I assume that GTA VI will be the same way, and these games take so long to make. Years and years and years.”
