The voice actress for Guilty Gear Xrd's Ramlethal Valentine will not be returning for Guilty Gear Strive

It seems that Ramlethal Valentine will be voiced by a different voice actress when Strive releases next month. On Twitter, the original voice actress for the character, Erin Fitzgerald, announced that she will not be returning to the role. She stated that she will happily step away from the role so that the game's developers could "cast more appropriately." She stated that since the character is Black, and she is not, that she would not accept the role. She stated that she does support more work for Black actresses behind the mic.

It was announced that Laura Stalh will be taking over as Ramlethal Valentine, who is considered to be a Black woman. Stalh has had roles in series such as Hunter X Hunter and The Irregular at Magic High School

A new story trailer for Guilty Gear Strive was released recently, and can be seen here. The trailer gives players a hint of what to expect from the game's story, which will conclude the series' plot that has spanned over 20 years. According to the trailer's description, the trials and tribulations of the series' heroes and villains will be resolved.

Guilty Gear Strive is the latest entry in the legendary fighting series. The game will feature a hybrid of 2D/3D cell-shaded graphics and an energy driven soundtrack. The game will feature 15 characters at launch, though the title will receive a Season Pass that will add 5 new characters. The game will add new features such as the wall-breaking mechanic, allowing veterans to take new approaches to battle.

Guilty Gear Strive will release on June 11th. The title will release for PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. Those who preorder the Deluxe or Ultimate editions of Strive will have early access to the game.
