The voice actress for Guilty Gear Xrd's Ramlethal Valentine will not be returning for Guilty Gear Strive.
It seems that Ramlethal Valentine will be voiced by a different voice actress when Strive releases next month. On Twitter, the original voice actress for the character, Erin Fitzgerald, announced that she will not be returning to the role. She stated that she will happily step away from the role so that the game's developers could "cast more appropriately." She stated that since the character is Black, and she is not, that she would not accept the role. She stated that she does support more work for Black actresses behind the mic.
It was announced that Laura Stalh will be taking over as Ramlethal Valentine, who is considered to be a Black woman. Stalh has had roles in series such as Hunter X Hunter and The Irregular at Magic High School.
