You don't have to actively follow the speedrunning community to know that Super Mario 64 is one of the most important games on the scene. This almost 30-year-old platformer is one of the most speedrun games there is, so you'd think that all of the categories have long since been optimised.
Well, apparently not, because another skip has been uncovered. This exploit can help you blast through the one-star speedrunning category, where you have the glitch and sequence break your way to the end of the game with just a single star. This new skip helps you get past one of the doors and is much easier to pull off than the old method.
