After 23 years, The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind is still celebrated as the entry in the series that paved the way for other great RPGs, especially Oblivion and Skyrim. As players eagerly await the sixth game, one project proves that the older title can still be an impressive landmark. With impressive graphic and visual overhauls, this mod makes Morrowind appear as if it were the hottest release of 2025.
There have been plenty of mods for Morrowind, adding new storylines, improving visuals, and changing aspects of the game's admittedly dated gameplay. However, some fans have gone even further than simply modifying the existing title. According to a video posted by creator Digital Dreams, which you can see below, one project aims to rebuild Morrowind in Unreal Engine 5, gorgeously recreating a classic adventure.
As you can see, the Unreal Engine 5 overhaul of Morrowind improves many visual aspects of the game, while keeping nostalgic elements of its graphics for players to experience. The textures of the terrain are the same, but buildings pop more, with extra details that give them a remastered quality you would expect to come from an official Bethesda remake.
