Xbox Game Pass New Free Game Will Consume Your Life

It's genuinely hard trying to choose what to play in 2025, and Xbox Game Pass isn't making it any easier for us. There are a ridiculous number of new games on the service at the moment, all of which demand attention as my backlog grows and grows.

To be honest with you, I've only just gotten around to Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, which is obviously a little bit embarrassing. And instead of getting my head down and finishing that, my time has been consumed by another recent addition to Xbox Game Pass.

Xbox Game Pass recently added the horror/gambling roguelike Cloverpit, which is very much like the twisted child of Balatro and Inscryption. Reader, it is entirely up my street.

To be very clear, I don't gamble in real life. Not remotely my cup of tea. But sit me down in front of a virtual slot machine, and you have me hook, line and sinker. Tell me it's a haunted slot machine, and you've just sweetened the deal, friend.

Cloverpit has thousands of positive reviews already on Steam, where it launched back in September. But now Xbox gamers are being seduced by the spinning slots and shiny numbers.
