Cyberpunk 2 is one of five CD Projekt Red games currently in development, and the studio has offered some new insight on its status. Previously known as Project Orion, Cyberpunk 2 will follow the events of smash hit Cyberpunk 2077, but exact details remain incredibly scarce. Screen Rant previously reported that numerous Cyberpunk 2 jobs are open, and now word from CDPR appears to confirm our assumptions about the game's current development state.
According to a financial briefing given by CD Projekt Red (via IGN), teams working on Cyberpunk 2 around the globe are scaling up in staff. CDPR's studios in Boston, Warsaw, and Vancouver are specifically adding more development personnel as the project grows in its pre-production state. As the company continues "laying the foundations" for Cyberpunk 2, it expects hiring to continue through the next two calendar years.
