Resident Evil Set To Receive Remake We've Been Begging For

It's a pretty good time to be a Resident Evil fan. Between the upcoming Resident Evil Requiem, and the release of Resident Evil 7 and Resident Evil Village on Nintendo Switch 2, there's lots to be excited about. But there's one game in particular fans are dying to see.

I am referring, of course, to Resident Evil Code: Veronica. It's a firm fan-favourite, and there have been rumours flying around for years that an official remake is in development. The good news? It sounds as if the remake we've been begging for is closer than expected.

First released back in 2000, Resident Evil Code: Veronica was one of the last "classic" games in the series before Resident Evil 4 reinvented the survival horror with more of a focus on action. Fans have been clamoring for a remake for years, and with the success of Capcom's last few remakes, it looks like our prayers might finally have been answered.

According to well-known (and frequently right) Resident Evil insider DuskGolem, the Code: Veronica remake is proceeding well. No word on a release window, which isn't a huge surprise given Requiem is the focus now, but it sounds like fans should be...
