Hollow Knight: Silksong is a dizzyingly expansive game, but by the sounds of it, developer Team Cherry isn't done yet. After spending seven years on Silksong's development, it's hard to imagine what could still be left for the game. While there are no concrete details yet, a new interview offers a tantalizing tease.
In an interview with Bloomberg's Jason Schreier, Team Cherry co-director Ari Gibson notes that the team is "looking at [...] what else can be brought to the experience and how that world can expand." While some future updates could just be tweaks, Gibson says that Team Cherry is "thinking about different things arriving at different scales", which "might mean larger things like Godmaster" (the final free DLC for the first Hollow Knight).
Nothing in the interview guarantees that Silksong will receive full-scale DLC, but it does confirm that Team Cherry is considering it. Beyond that, Gibson and co-director William Pellen remain mostly coy, but Pellen suggests that they'll "start talking about it more soon."
