Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, and Pokémon Legends: Arceus now all have release dates.
We now know when Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl will release. The remakes of the Nintendo DS classics will drop on November 19th (via Siliconera). The cover art for the games was released as well, showcasing the main legendary duo for the two titles, Dialga and Palkia. A release date was also revealed for Pokémon Legends: Arceus (once again via Siliconera). The game will release for the Nintendo Switch on January 28th, 2022. The game's cover art was also revealed, showcasing the game's characters and some of the Pokémon that they will be able to encounter.
Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl will be faithful recreations of the original titles. The story will be reproduced and the scale of the originals' towns and routes have been carefully preserved. While Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl will be faithful to the original games, they will include quality of life improvements that can be seen in modern titles such as Pokémon Sword and Shield.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus will take players to a long-gone era of the Sinnoh region that was introduced in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. In Legends, players will catch, survey, and research wild Pokémon in order to create and complete the region's first Pokedex. The game takes place in a world before ideas such as being a Pokémon Trainer or having a Pokémon League existed. Gamers can sneak up on Pokémon in the wild and try to catch them, or can have their ally Pokémon battle them. When players throw their ally near a wild Pokémon , they will seamlessly enter battle and command their ally by choosing from moves that it knows.
Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl will release for the Nintendo Switch in November. Pokémon Legends: Arceus will release for the console early next year.
