Resident Evil: Survival Unit has been chugging along since its initial mobile launch, luring in prospective Resident Evil fans with nostalgic characters. Although the base-building and gacha gameplay isn't for everyone, I've enjoyed wading through it as a free player to see what classic cast members might pop up.
Based on new info from the Resident Evil fan site REvil, it looks like we're getting a few more heavy-hitters, including one of the debut Resident Evil characters alongside Jill Valentine, who is already in the game.
Based on new info from dataminers, it seems like Chris Redfield, Excella Gionne (from Resident Evil 5) and Sherry Birkin are going to be welcomed into Survival Unit in the future. Fascinatingly, it also seems there will be an exclusive monster for Survival Unit called "Mortem," with multiple forms and a fairly horrifying visage to boot.
For reference, the initial three characters should be joining as roster updates, which means you can recruit them and take them on away missions or within a squad. With Excella joining the fray, it's only a matter of time until Capcom breaks the glass and unleashes Wesker in the game.
Typically, the way the game works...
